In Spotler Mail+, an automation only sends messages to contacts once it has been published. If a published automation isn't triggering, check whether the trigger date is in the future and whether you edited the automation after publishing it.
If contacts aren't receiving messages from an automation, this is usually down to one of three causes. Work through them in this order.
Possibility 1: Check whether the automation is published
Giving an automation the status Final and publishing an automation are two separate steps: an automation with status Final doesn't send anything until you've published it via the Publisher tab.
Go to the automations overview and check the Used in column. If this shows the name of a publication, the automation is published. If this field is empty, open the Publisher tab and start a New publication. See Publisher for the full steps for publishing an automation.
Possibility 2: Check whether the trigger date is in the future
Is your automation's trigger based on a date field? A trigger only fires for dates that haven't passed yet at the moment of the check. If the date on the contact field is today or earlier, this contact won't be picked up. See when does the automation trigger check whether a date has been reached for the exact moment of this check and how to handle same-day dates.
Possibility 3: Did you edit the automation after publishing it?
To edit a published automation (status Final), you first need to set the status back to Draft or Test. Changes you make after that don't automatically apply to the running publication: you need to publish the edited automation again to make the changes active. See when the automation has a status Final (green), can it still be adjusted afterwards for the full explanation.
Don't forget to stop the old publication
Publishing again starts a new publication with its own report; the old publication meanwhile stays active with its own report. Stop the old publication first via the publication menu in the Publisher tab. If you don't, a contact who is in both the old and the new publication can be triggered by both.
