Can a contact with the status "inactive: spam report" be reactivated?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. When a customer marks an email as spam in services like Gmail or Telenet, the contact is automatically set to "Inactive: spam-report" in the software.

If you try to reactivate such a contact, you will see the following message:

The reason for this is that these service providers require us to comply with their rules. They do not want these addresses to be emailed again, which is why the option to reactivate them has been removed.

Additionally, Spotler cannot reactivate these contacts either.

What can you do?

If these addresses were emailed again, it could result in these providers rejecting future emails from you. This could cause damage to us as the sender as well. For this reason, it is no longer possible to reactivate and email these contacts.

If the contact would like to receive newsletters again, they can create a new email address and provide it to you.
