Release 9 | September 2025

In this release of Spotler Mail+, new features have been added and various bug fixes have been implemented. In this article, you can read more about:

Quotes in DKIM Keys

We’ve made an important update to improve the reliability of sending domains in Mail+. Some customers had set up their DKIM key with quotes, as they were shown in the old Mail+ instructions. This could cause a mismatch and, in rare cases, increase the risk that emails are rejected by email clients.

To prevent this:

  • We have removed the quotes from the DMARC setup instructions to avoid confusion in the future.
  • We added a clear error message that alerts users if their DKIM key contains quotes.

What does this mean for you?

  • Your sending domains will continue to work, even if this error message appears.
  • We’ve chosen not to block sending for now, to make sure there’s no sudden disruption in email delivery.
  • We do, however, recommend updating your DKIM setup if you see this warning, so your emails remain fully protected and future-proof. In the example below you see quotation marks, these must be removed.

Allow Google annotations in old-messages-editor and HTML messages

Gmail has a powerful feature that can help your emails stand out in the inbox. Some sales information can be added as metadata in the HTML. In the past, Mail+ removed this data, but now it is whitelisted.

Gmail uses machine learning to decide which emails get these annotations. This means:

  • Annotations only appear in the Promotions tab in Gmail on mobile devices.
  • Your email must meet Gmail’s content and quality rules.
  • Annotations are not always shown. However, clear and relevant annotations have a
    higher chance of appearing

Improvements

Bugfixes

  • Ticketnumber: 2376627, 2381804 | Alignment of forms and form elements
There were some bugs with forms created in the V2 webpage editor. The alignment of forms and elements, such as error messages, was not always correct. Sometimes error texts were not visible at all. These issues have now been fixed
  • Auto-save
It looked like the auto-save function in the V2 editor was no longer working. In fact, the function was still active, but the saved versions were not visible in the dropdown menu. This has now been corrected.
  • Ticketnumber: 2385272 | Bounced users could not reactivate their email
When a Mail+ user’s email address bounced, a popup appeared at the next login asking them to change their email address. It was also possible to reactivate the same email address: Mail+ would send a message with a link, and by clicking it, the address should be reactivated. However, even when the email address was valid, it could not be reactivated. This issue has now been fixed.
  • Pop-up automation triggers only once
Automation triggers for popups were only activated once per contact. This caused problems, for example, when someone wanted to resubscribe to a newsletter. The behavior has now been improved so popups can trigger again when needed
  • Ticketnumber: 2360693 | Column spacing was missing in advanced content elements
In product and recommendation blocks, the set column spacing was not applied. This affected both the preview and the final message.
  • Disable Test Center when message is not saved
The Test Center always runs tests on the last saved version of a message. Until now, this wasn’t always obvious while editing.

    To avoid confusion:
    • The Test Center button is now disabled if there are unsaved changes.

    • A notification will let you know what to do before running your test.
