June’s release brings two updates to improve accessibility and user control within Spotler Mail+: an interface improvement for choosing a preferred email editor, and updated settings that align with accessibility standards. These changes simplify workflows and promote a better user experience.
Below you will find the highlighted features and the full release notes:
Editor visibility settings
Mail+ now lets you control which email editor is visible per account. While two editors exist, not all users need access to both. A new setting allows permitted roles to hide or show editors individually.
This setting is available via Settings > Preferences, and is available to the following roles:
- Admin
- Owner
- Corporate
- Franchise
Duplicate brand guidelines
A new option in brand guidelines lets users duplicate existing brands. This is helpful for quickly creating similar brands.
When you go to Settings, click on the Settings tab at the top. Then you can click on Brand guidelines on the left-hand side.
Click on the arrow symbol on the right-hand side of your brand guidelines and then click on Duplicate.

Improvements
Color scheme updates
The Mail+ interface now features an improved color scheme to increase contrast and readability, aligned with WCAG accessibility standards. These changes enhance usability for people with visual impairments. Note: not all admin views are fully WCAG-compliant yet, but all user-facing features like forms, pop-ups, and V2 emails meet the guidelines.
Alt text enforcement for accessibility
Empty alt tags (alt="") are now automatically added to images in the email editor if no description is entered. If a description is present, it overrides the empty tag. This improves compatibility with screen readers.
Outlook rendering fix
Issues with 1px vertical lines in Outlook (caused by reverse order and padding combinations) have been resolved with updated HTML rendering logic.
Bug fixes
-
Error in mailing services
In some cases, mailings failed due to a duplicate index error in selection groups. This prevented sending and stalled activity in WAITING or STOPPING states. The issue has been resolved. -
Wrong property type for text DB field
When creating a text field in the UI, it was incorrectly typed as text instead of string. This led to errors during sending. It’s now fixed. -
Images rendered too large in sent message
In some cases, images in sent messages appeared much larger than they did in the
message editor. This made the message size grow too large. Some customers could not
update the status of their message because it exceeded the size limit, even though the
images they added were within the allowed size. This issue has now been fixed. -
Race condition in test mailings
A backend conflict between ActivateMailing and ProducerFinished caused mailings to appear active even after sending. This has been corrected. -
Old UI failed to delete mailing batches
Deleting a mailing from the old UI did not remove associated batches. The delete option has been removed from the old interface. -
Persistent error text on forms
Forms incorrectly displayed error messages even when no issues were present. This bug is now fully resolved. -
Error message in editor for personalized images
A new prompt reminds users that fallback images must be stored in the same folder as dynamic images. -
Editor failed to load in Safari with <sp-style>
Using the<sp-style>tag blocked the loading of editor content blocks in Safari. This tag no longer causes issues. -
HTML block selection error
Selecting two separate HTML elements displayed the content of the first one repeatedly. This has been fixed. -
Oversized button pop-up
The pop-up window for editing or adding a button in the email editor became much larger than before. This caused problems, like save and cancel buttons being hidden behind the taskbar, and no
scroll option to reach them. We’ve now adjusted the size so the pop-up fits properly on screen again. -
Folder not updating when changed
When an admin changed the folder of a saved template in the email editor using the settings button, the folder scope was not updated. This caused the template to stay linked to the old folder. This issue has now been fixed. -
Users can no longer merge themselves
The feature to merge two users could previously cause the main user to lose access if their own login credentials were mistakenly used during the merge process. Mail+ now displays a warning if this happens, and the merge will be blocked.
