In August, Spotler Mail+ released Release 8. In this release, closing editors has been improved, external mailings have been made visible on the contact card, validation for automation fields has been expanded, and several bugs have been fixed.

Smarter editor exit workflow
What changed: Closing editors in Spotler Mail+ has been improved. When you have unsaved changes and click Close editor, a confirmation window appears.
In this window, you can choose Save & close, Discard, or Keep editing. This allows you to save changes immediately when you leave the editor.
Who is this relevant for: This change is relevant for users who work in editors within Spotler Mail+, such as the automation editor, campaign editor, message editor, and forms editor.
Why is this important: The new exit step reduces the chance of losing changes. You no longer have to return to the editor first to save manually before closing it.

External mailings on the contact card
What changed: External mailings have been added to the mailing interactions overview on the contact card.
This also shows mailings that were sent through external systems. From the overview, you can view the sent message and related clicks.
Who is this relevant for: This change is relevant for users who have access to contact details and view the communication history of a contact.
Where can you find this change: You can find the external mailings on the Mailing interactions tab on the contact card.
Why is this important: The contact card gives a more complete view of communication with a contact. You are less likely to need separate reports to check external mailing interactions.
More flexible validation for automation fields
What changed: Validation for automation fields has been adjusted. You can now use underscores and dashes in input values for automation fields.
Who is this relevant for: This change is relevant for users who use technical field names or fixed naming conventions in automations.
Why is this important: Valid field names are less likely to be blocked by validation. This prevents unnecessary error messages when setting up automations.

2421605 | Dynamic list triggers
Dynamic list triggers in automations responded case-sensitively, while dynamic lists themselves are case-insensitive. This has been fixed. Triggers now consistently follow the case-insensitive behavior of dynamic lists. -
2333926, 2349606, 2403779 | AB test reporting
In AB test reports, a large spike in opens could appear at the end of the test period. Statistics were frozen after the remaining mailings had been sent instead of before. This has been fixed. -
Column order in overviews
The Restore to default settings option restored the correct columns, but not in the default order. This has been fixed. Both the column selection and column order are now restored correctly.
