Release 5 | May 2026

This release of Spotler Mail+ introduces improvements for SMS personalization, several editor updates, and stability optimizations. In addition, various bug fixes have been implemented in Automations, the editor, and account management.

In this article you will learn more about:

Automation fields in the SMS editor

Automation fields are now available in the SMS editor. This allows you to personalize SMS messages with values from an automation, similar to the options available in the email editor. Automation fields can be used in links, but also as text in the message itself.

Via the personalization button {p} in the SMS editor, you can now easily add automation fields to SMS content. The fields are automatically filled in at the position where you place them in the message, when the message is sent from an automation.

This makes personalized automation flows more consistent across different channels and offers more options for personalized SMS communication.

Editor improvements

More control over dividers on mobile

Dividers now support separate settings for mobile view. This allows you to adjust width and alignment specifically for mobile, without workarounds such as hiding elements.

Canvas background color always remains active

The canvas background color can no longer be fully removed. This prevents the canvas from unexpectedly shrinking when transparent backgrounds are used. You can still choose a custom color or return to the default color.

Improved support for bold styling via CSS classes

Bold styling via custom CSS classes is now displayed more consistently between the editor view and the preview. This keeps designs better aligned when using custom styling.

Improvements

Other improvements

  • Improved stability for simultaneous batch mailings
The processing of batch mailings within the same environment has been improved for simultaneous sends. This reduces the chance of mailings stopping during sending and ending up in an error status.
  • UI consistency improvements for notifications and pop-ups
Various UI adjustments reduce visual shifts, such as notifications briefly disappearing and reappearing while loading. Unnecessary empty elements in the interface are also prevented. Pop-ups with the status final can no longer be edited, making this behavior consistent with messages, among other areas.
  • Improved log-out experience for Spotler ID
During log-out, it is now clearly shown that the process is active, including a loading indicator. This is especially noticeable for accounts with access to many environments, where logging out can take longer.
  • More consistent REST API behavior
Several REST API responses have been adjusted to more suitable HTTP status codes. When a batch size is too large, a 413 is now returned instead of a 400. When retrieving orders via the API, a 404 is now returned when an order cannot be found. This results in more predictable behavior for integrations.
