Out of Stock Product Campaign in Spotler Activate

When you update the stock level of a product from 0 in your webshop, this can be used as a trigger for an email sent via Spotler Mail+. Everyone who signed up to be notified when a product is back in stock will receive this email. The email will display the product and a clear call to action like Order Now.

This is what the flow looks like in Spotler Activate:

Before you build the flow, make sure you’ve created an event in Spotler Activate that is triggered when someone clicks on a product that is out of stock. This click activates a personalization where a customer can sign up for a back-in-stock alert. In the event that triggers the personalization, the product, size, and color are included. This data is also used when the product is shown in the email.

You build the flow in Spotler Activate like this:

  1. Go to Journeys
  2. Click on + New journey

  3. Name your journey. Then set two rules: For Event, choose: is one of PersonalizationClick and

Personalization clicked is one of: out of stock

These are the conditions someone must meet to enter this flow.

For Entry behavior, define when a customer is allowed to go through the flow.
In our example, customers can be triggered again once they’ve completed the journey.Personalization _ Niet op voorraad.png
  4. Voeg toe aan de flow: Product Split. In de settings bepaal je om welk product het gaat.

  5. In our example, we choose: Product is one of. This tells Spotler Activate which product to send to Spotler to be displayed in the email. For Wait time, set it to 365 days, as this campaign runs all year round.

  6. Next, add an Email to the flow. This element ensures that the automation you built in Spotler Mail+ is triggered.

  7. In the settings, select the correct automation trigger. This is the automation you already prepared in Spotler Mail+. The name of your automation in Spotler Mail+ is what you’ll see listed in Spotler Activate. Can’t see the automation in Spotler Activate? Then it likely doesn’t have the status “Final.”

Change the status to Final in Spotler Mail+ to be able to select it in Spotler Activate.

    Click Save.

  9. In the Engagement Split, set the engagement period.
In our example, we use 14 days. Set: Event is one of Purchase and url contains source=Activate.
This way, you can track in your analytics whether a purchase was made as a result of the email.
