Pop-up campaign with Spotler Activate

With Spotler Activate, you can track website behavior. You’ll want to link this behavior to an email address so you can personalize your email communication. This makes your messaging highly relevant.

Using a Pop-up for a Welcome Campaign has several benefits:

  • You can trigger a personalized email.
  • You can link an IP address to an email address to track customer behavior.

Deploy the pop-up on various themed pages, such as product pages for boots or sneakers. When someone fills in the pop-up, an interest field is immediately added to the contact profile. You can also ensure that the person receives personalized offers—based on their website behavior.

Pop-up campaign in Spotler Activate

In Spotler Activate, you create a journey that sends an email based on a profile update (e.g., newsletter sign-up).

Here's what the flow likes in Spotler Activate:

Build the flow like this in Spotler Activate:

  1. Go to Journeys
  2. Click + New journey

  3. Give your journey a name. Then set up two rules: Under Event, choose: is one of PersonalizationClick and Personalization clicked is one of: Newsletter opt-in.

These are the conditions someone must meet to enter the flow.

For Entry Behavior, define when someone is allowed to enter the journey. In our example: if customers have completed the journey before, they can be triggered again.

  4. Add an action to the flow: Update profile. This lets you define which interest triggers the flow.

  5. In our example, we use the field favorite_category_2. By default, Spotler Activate includes three favorite category fields. Select the appropriate value here.

  6. Next, add an Email to the flow. This element ensures that the automation you’ve created in Spotler Mail+ is triggered.

  7. In the settings, select the correct automation trigger. This is the automation you’ve prepared in Spotler Mail+. The name of your automation in Spotler Mail+ is what you’ll see in Spotler Activate. Don’t see the automation in Spotler Activate? Then the automation probably doesn’t have the status “Final.” Set the status to Final in Spotler Mail+ in order to select it in Spotler Activate.

    Click Save.
