To stand out in your recipient's inbox, you can use a symbol in your subject line. For example, a Christmas tree (🎄) or a Santa Claus (🎅) emoticon around Christmas. This is how you add a symbol to your subject line in Spotler:
- Go to the Messages module and create a new message.
- Step 2 is where you determine the subject line. Write the text of your subject line.
-
You will see an icon with a smiley face next to the subject line.
-
Click on this icon to open a menu with symbols:
- Click on the desired symbol or search for it using the search bar.
-
Now it is added to your subject line.
Make sure to thoroughly test your message, because it differs per email client if and how your symbols are displayed. If the receiving email client does not recognize the symbol, it will be converted into a square ☐ and we don't want that to happen, of course.
