Organizations that send spam are - hopefully - on a blacklist. A blacklist is a list of incorrect senders. But beware: reliable organizations can also end up here. The only way you can avoid this is to have a good sending reputation. Preventing blacklisting is very important to Spotler and it is also for this reason that Spotler actively protects its sending reputation.
There are approximately 300 publicly accessible blacklists. They are lists of blacklisted IP addresses or blacklisted domain names. Well-known blacklists are:
- Return Path Reputation Network Blacklist
- Spamhaus Block List
- SpamCop
- Spamhouse DBL
