Creating the newsletter with feedback symbols

All the elements that you need for the newsletter are now ready. You can get started in the Messages module. Click on New message and complete the step-by-step plan.

In the editor, you will format your newsletter. Add an extra free formatting block for the feedback block. Add the feedback symbols in the article block.

Feedback blocks are not automatically responsive
If you create a feedback block in your newsletter, it will not automatically act responsively. If your symbols are too large, this can cause problems with displaying your newsletter on a portable device. On a portable device, an article block is 320 px wide at max. If you use symbols of 100 pixels per symbol (max. 3 next to each other), it should always be properly displayed on portable devices. Just to be safe, always check the preview of your message.

Incidentally, you could also make use of a multi block. In that case, the blocks (positive and negative) will be displayed underneath one another on a portable device.

Next, you are going to link the symbols to the correct webpage. Use Link to webpage to link them to the Spotler webpages you have created in the previous steps. Give it a link name that you can easily recognize in the mailing reports, for example: “Feedback - Negative” and “Feedback - Positive”.

If the recipient clicks on one of the symbols, they will be redirected to the page that contains the form with which they can leave a response.
