Introduction getting started with campaigns

By using an automated campaign, you can always send the right message, at the right time, and to the right person. Without needing technical knowledge, you can set up a birthday campaign, loyalty campaign, win-back campaign or any other campaign. These are campaigns that automatically expire based on an event with your target group and which are therefore of maximum relevance.

Automatic campaigns are also called event-driven, event-based or trigger-based campaigns. Two characteristics of these automated campaigns are:

  1. They respond to a change within the target group
This change is also known as an event or a trigger.
  2. It is 1-on-1 communication
One person receives an automated email, not a large group of people, as would be the case with a (manual) newsletter.

This increases the chances of reaching your goal. By relating the campaigns to the life cycle of a contact, you will be able to get a good idea of suitable campaign moments:

Getting started with an automated campaign

Before you log in to your Spotler account, it is useful to determine what the campaign is going to entail. As you can see, this step does not necessarily have anything to do with Spotler, but it is important to consider nonetheless.

Consider the following parts:

  1. Purpose: What is the purpose?
  2. Target group: Who is the target group?
  3. Trigger(s): When should the automatic campaign be triggered?
  4. The campaign: What does the campaign look like?
