Connecting with Shopware 5

The connection between your Shopware web shop (only version 5 as of yet) and your Spotler Mail+ account is established through Mandrino's Connector Platform. For this purpose, you must install the plugin developed by Mandrino in your Shopware web shop. On the Connector Platform, the connection is set up in such a way that the source system (Shopware) can communicate with the target system (Spotler Mail+ account) through Spotler's REST API. This is how it works:

The Spotler plugin for Shopware retrieves the data from your Shopware web shop and then transfers it to your Mail+ account. Periodically, permission changes are retrieved from Spotler Mail+ and forwarded to Shopware through the plugin, by the Connector Platform. That way, all systems remain up to date.

Requirements for a successful connection

There are some requirements to establish a quick and easy connection:

  • You are running Shopware version 5.
  • You have installed the Mandrino plugin. Mandrino will provide you with an implementation manual. If you don't have the plugin yet, please request it from Mandrino.
  • Each Shopware web shop is connected to Spotler Mail+ with one Mandrino plugin. If you want to connect multiple shops, you will need multiple plugin licenses.
  • Only permission(s) and bounces are synced from Spotler Mail+ to Shopware.

Remarks

Mandrino connects the standard fields in Spotler Mail+ to the relevant fields in Shopware. Check to see if the fields are synced and discuss necessary adjustments to the connection with Mandrino if needed. Make sure to sort out the following in advance:

  • Determine what a contact's unique key (unique ID) will be. This can be a customer number or account number for instance.
  • If you are using Shopware Enterprise B2B, please let us know if you want to synchronise sub contacts in addition to main contacts.
  • Shopware contains one email permission (opt-in) by default, and therefore, so does the plugin. If you are having multiple permissions built-in in Shopware for use in Mail+, Mandrino needs to adjust the plugin for you. Please request this in time.
